An incident

written on February 2nd, 2012

So I was out tonight, almost midnight, in the freezing cold (2 degrees Celsius), shooting some timelapses — last shots — for my upcoming short movie “Nicosia”. I was at a big roundabout at the outskirts of Nicosia. I was positioned in the centre of it. Suddenly, a sketchy 4×4 car stops abruptly, near the edge of the road, at the roundabout, behind me. I turn around, and I see three large dudes in plain clothes — don’t know if they were muscular or fat — getting off and began walking fast towards me. As if that wasn’t enough, just as they were getting off, all three of them put on their hoods.

Wallpaper of the month (February)

written on February 1st, 2012

In the early days, I used to create many wallpapers from my work. It was a success but I stopped after I began seeing my wallpapers on other websites and galleries, ripped and stolen. Hunting the rippers down was useless; they were too many. Nontheless, I decided to begin a new section on this blog ... (Continue Reading »)

A poem

written on January 28th, 2012

It doesn’t interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love for your dream for the adventure of being alive. It doesn’t interest me what planets are squaring your moon… I want to know if you have touched the centre of your own sorrow if... (Continue Reading »)

iPad battery saving tips

written on January 9th, 2012

A month ago I purchased the iPad 2 and integrated it deeply into my workflow. Since then I’ve saved energy by not turning on my main PC for most of my tasks, improved my posture — not sitting on the same chair for hours — thus reducing my chronic back pain, made my experience (browsing, readin... Free Camera Dolly

written on December 19th, 2011

Episode 7 of the series entitled “Clever uses of a tripod”. The tutorials’ aim is to show you how to utilise your tripod in clever, unorthodox ways. These methods work excellently with the video DSLRs because the cameras are light and easy to manoeuvre and carry when on a tripod. T... (Continue Reading »)

How I swapped my PC for an iPad

written on December 15th, 2011

A year ago, when the 1st generation iPad came out I was furious. What was this useless device and who would want one? If you knew me then, you would witness a very agressive anti-ipad behaviour from me. I was preaching that the iPad is not useful and if you said — like many used to at that time ... How to become a better photographer (Part 1)

written on December 7th, 2011

As humans, we constantly evolve and improve, we become better: look at how far we’ve reached in any department, be it technology or medicine. This is proof that we can just do it and that impossible is nothing, we just have to get our mindset right (how I fit two recognised, but opposite, trademar... (Continue Reading »)

In memory of Steve Jobs

written on October 6th, 2011

As you probably now by now, a legend has passed away: Steve Jobs. Words cannot describe the loss. So, I decided to make a picture (as they say an image is a thousand words), in his memory. This picture will also be the "Wallpaper of the Month" of this blog. Please spread the word and click to downlo... (Continue Reading »)
